Vinyasa Flow
A breath-led sequence that builds heat, strength, and some grace. Studio A, 78°F. 11 classes a week, all seven days. Expect creative sequencing, music from Linnea's Moth Tapes playlist, and one long savasana.
Moss & Lantern is a small eight-year-old yoga studio above the bakery on Ossington & Argyle, Toronto. Two warm studios, 14 expert teachers, 52 classes a week. No pressure to touch your toes. No chants unless you want them. Just steady, well-taught, slightly-challenging yoga for humans with lives.
We opened in February 2018 in a 2,400 sqft apartment above Blackbird Bakery. The landlord said "no drilling," so we plastered everything with lime and hung lanterns from the ceiling. Eight years later, the lanterns are still up.
We teach three styles and three only — Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative — because we'd rather teach three things well than ten badly. We keep classes to 22 mats and price them so you can come four times a week without panicking.

Half the class is slow, deliberate movement; the other half is Yin — long-held poses with bolsters and silence. Studio A, warm but not hot. Linnea and Tomás split the schedule. Taught at 9:30am and 6:30pm daily. Our busiest class by a distance.
Five supported poses across 60 minutes, then a 15-minute Yoga Nidra meditation guided by Obi Okonkwo. Studio B, unheated, lanterns only. Bolsters, blankets, eye pillows provided. Sundays 6pm and Wednesdays 8pm.
A four-week course for people who've never stepped on a mat. Tuesdays 7pm, starts the first Tuesday of every month. Capped at 14 students. Includes a private follow-up with the teacher. Taught by Amaru or Linnea.
Opened Moss & Lantern in 2018. Iyengar-trained in Pune under Geeta Iyengar, 2014. 9 years teaching. Brings her old cassette deck in on Sundays.
Trained Mysore-style under Sharath Jois. Teaches our only 6:15am classes plus a strong Vinyasa on Tuesdays. Pretends to dislike cold showers.
Ex-physio, 8 years. Teaches Foundations, our beginner series, and a weekly Anatomy Workshop for teachers. Patient with anyone, including her dog Juno.
Trained at the Satyananda ashram in Bihar, 2018. Guides our Yoga Nidra Sunday 6pm. Makes his own sleep teas. Sometimes brings a gong.

Honestly, no. Our Slow Flow and Foundations classes are built for people on their first mat. Most classes are mixed-level and teachers cue three options per pose — hard, steady, and rest. If you feel lost, rest. That is doing yoga right. Linnea has personally taught over 900 first-timers in the last eight years.
No. We have 40 fresh Mexican cotton mats and full props (bolsters, blocks, straps, eye pillows) free for any class. Many members bring their own once they settle in — we sell Jade Harmony mats at cost, $108, in the lobby.
Anything you can stretch in. Most folks wear leggings and a t-shirt. We practice barefoot, so you can kick your shoes off at the door. Lockers are free, but please bring your own lock or borrow one from the lobby.
First class: 15 minutes early for a quick tour and to meet the teacher. After that: 5 minutes is plenty. Door stays unlocked until 3 minutes past class start, then locks for the quiet of the practice — please don't be the person who knocks.
Usually yes, but tell us first. Email hello@tilkly.com with a one-line note about what's going on. Amaru is our ex-physio and will steer you to the right class and flag anything to the teacher. She replies within a day, promise.
Yes. One 200-hr training per year, September through March, 14 weekends. Capped at 12 students. Led by Linnea and Amaru, with guest modules from Obi (Yoga Nidra) and Tomás (Ashtanga). Applications open every April 1. 2026 cohort is full; 2027 waitlist open now.
