Is this covered by the NHS?
Yes, our Messaging plan is available via NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) in England & Wales. After self-referral through our intake, we'll submit the referral to your local Talking Therapies service; they'll review and fund care where appropriate. Scotland and NI partners are in pilot — email hello@tilkly.com to check availability by postcode.
What if I'm in crisis?
We are not a crisis service. If you're in immediate danger, please call 999, Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7, UK & IRL), or present at A&E. Inside the app, every screen has a red "crisis" button that dials Samaritans in one tap and notifies your therapist. Our therapists are trained in safety planning but cannot respond to crisis situations in real time.
What's your data policy? Is this really private?
Your conversations are end-to-end encrypted and visible only to you and your therapist. We never sell, share, or train models on your messages. Full privacy policy at quiethours.app/privacy. We are registered with the ICO (Z8421004) and comply with UK GDPR + HIPAA. We do not integrate with Meta Pixel, TikTok, or any ad-tech SDK in-app. Period.
Can I change therapists?
Yes, any time, free. In the first 30 days we encourage it — a mismatch is a common, recoverable problem. After 30 days it's still free, but your current therapist gets a courtesy heads-up message (you can opt out). The new therapist does not see your old conversations unless you explicitly share the history.
Is it really a real therapist, not an AI?
Yes. Every reply, every session, is from your named, photographed, registration-numbered human therapist. No AI writes therapeutic content in Quiet Hours. AI is used only for two operational things: triaging support tickets (opt-in), and transcribing your voice notes for your therapist's notes. Neither touches clinical content.
How do I cancel?
In the app, Profile → Plan → Cancel. Two taps. You can cancel in the 14-day free trial with zero charge, or any billing cycle after. Access continues through your paid-up end date. We don't send retention-pressure flows or "wait, here's a discount" — canceling therapy is your decision, not ours to negotiate with.
