FILM PHOTOGRAPHER · PARIS & NEW YORK

Iris Holland makes pictures on film —
slowly, & only on film.

A selection of editorial, private, and personal work made with Pentax 67, Hasselblad 500C, and Leica M6 cameras. Nothing digital. Nothing retouched beyond the darkroom. Almost everything here was made on Kodak Portra 400, Ektar 100, or Ilford HP5+.

A NOTE

On working with film,
and on working slowly.

I came to photography through darkroom printing at sixteen, and I have never really left it. I shoot film exclusively because the constraints of twelve frames on a roll, of paying for each click, of waiting weeks to see the work, remain the things that interest me most about the craft. I scan my own negatives. I print my own prints. I edit by hand.

Recent clients have included The New York Times T Magazine, Aesop, Hermès, Frieze Magazine, and a handful of private collectors. Personal work has been shown at the Rencontres d'Arles (2024) and Paris Photo (2023, 2025).
